SUNSET BAY MARINA 
RULES & REGULATIONS

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT:  Slip customers-Minimum of three(3) 5/8" dock lines and extra fenders.  Mooring customers-Mandatory Chafe Gear and recommended Pick-Up Buoy.

DINGHIES:  Dinghies may be tied to your boat if it does not interfere or obstruct your neighbor or the marina channels.  If you wish to keep your dinghy tied to the dock, the fee for marina customers is $100.00.  For non-marina customers it is $500.00 for the season, up to 10'.  There is a designated area for dinghies.

DOCK BOXES:  Dox Boxes are permitted, as long as, they do not interfere or obstruct access to walkways, fingers, utilities, etc... Please consult with marina as to appropriate size of boxes and location prior to attaching the box to the dock.

ITEMS LEFT ON THE DOCKS:  Please keep all items that belong to you in your dock box or in your boat.  Hoses shoud be coiled and hung.  Any debris left on the dock will be removed.

COOKING GRILLS:  Per the Fire Department, there are to be no open fires allowed on the docks.  You may cook on your own boat at your own risk.

PORTABLE GAS TANKS:  Per the Fire Department and marina there is to be no filling of boats with portable gas or fuel tanks.

DAMAGE TO THE DOCKS:  You, or your insurance company, will be responsible for any damage caused by your or your boat to the docks.

PARKING:  Sunset Bay Marina issues parking passes for all marina customers.  Guests need to stop by the office and register for a special guest parking pass.  All parking passes need to be displayed in the front window of the vehicle.  There are two locations to park at.  The first is small and limited but can be found in front of the gangway.  The second location is across the street, behind the condo building, and is clearly marked for customers and guests only.

FLOAT PLANS:  All customers who will be underway for longer than a 24 hour period, we ask that you provide the marina office a copy of your float plan.  Float plans are available at the office.

SEVERE WEATHER:  In the event of a severe storm, the marina will attempt, if possible, to provide preparation and damage prevention service.  However, the owner is still solely responsible to take all emergency means possible, and the marina does not assume any responsibility for said protection or damages to the owners boat.

FISHING:  Fishing is allowed off the docks the marina customers and guests only.  Please notify a marina employee if strangers set up camp to fish off your docks.  Please notify a marina employee if you notice anyone fishing off the docks.  Do not confront them yourself.

CHILDREN ON THE DOCKS:  Please make sure that all children are properly supervised while on the docks and ensure they wear appropriate life jackets.  Children 12 and under must wear a life jacket while on the docks.  There will be no running or horse play allowed on the docks.

PETS:  Pets are allowed buy must be on a leash at all times.  Owners must clean up after the pets.  For the enjoyment of our guests, pets that are not properly attended to will have to be removed from the marina.

PARTIES & DRINKING:  We all like to have a good time.  We ask that you respect your neighbor.  Please keep the noise to a minimum-especially at night.  Anyone who is out of control will be asked to leave the marina.  Anyone who operates their boat intoxicated is breaking the law and the proper authorities will be notified.  Sunset Bay Marina is family orientated, we ask for your coorperation in helping us keep it that way.

OUTSIDE LABOR:  No outside labor or independent contractors' work is allowed unless permission is obtained by the marina office.  All outside labor must first sign in at the marina office and submit proper insurance documents.

BILLING:  Bills will be emailed for those customers who leave and email address on file and mailed for those customers without email or who prefer mail.  A service charge will be added of 1.5% per month (18% annually)  to balances 30 days past due.  No boats wll be launched or hauled until outstanding bills are paid in full.

KEY OR HATCH COMBINATIONS MUST BE LEFT WITH THE MARINA OFFICE
